Jessica is 11 years old. Since the age of 3, she’s been caring for her mum, who is a fulltime wheelchair user after suffering a spinal injury. On top of schoolwork, being a young carer can mean there’s not a lot of time for Jessica to enjoy herself. Find out how Scottish BBC Children in Need-funded project PKAVS is able to provide residential trips to Jessica and other young carers, allowing them to get together, take a break from their caring role, make new friends and simply have some fun.
