BBC Children in Need will collect and process the personal information that you have provided to us about yourself.  This information is your first and last name, work email address, school phase, school address, school URN number and fundraising activities.

The personal information that you provide will be processed for the purposes of us fulfilling the prize draw, sending any prizes if you win, contacting you to verify that you have paid in your fundraising by the relevant deadline (if we need to) and sending you our newsletters if you have opted-in for us to do so.  We may share your information with our approved couriers solely to deliver the prize to you.

When you provide information to us, BBC Children in Need is the data controller of your personal information and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office with registration number Z1523450.  BBC Children in Need is a company limited by guarantee (number 04723022) and a charity registered in England and Wales under number 802052 and in Scotland under number SC039557.

The legal basis on which BBC Children in Need processes your personal information for the purposes of fulfilling the prize draw is our legitimate interests of engaging with supporters (and we don’t believe this unreasonably impacts on your rights and freedoms).  The legal basis on which we process your information for the purposes of marketing is your consent.  You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting [email protected].

We will retain your information in accordance with our retention policy, an extract of which is available on request.
