BBC Children in Need and Bright Side, the Sidemen charity, are giving you the chance to score the ultimate match day experience – one of 50 incredible pairs of tickets, prizes and experiences to the SOLD OUT Sidemen Charity Football Match in March 2025.

How to Enter

· You must be age 18 or over to enter.

· The prize draw is open to all residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

· Staff members of BBC Children in Need, the BBC, Bright Side, Arcade Media, The Side Men or their close relatives or anyone else professionally connected with the prize draw cannot enter.

· Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested.

· You can enter online by donating £5 or enter for free by post. Each entry will be one entry:

· Online via Tiltify

· By post – to enter by post, please send your full name, phone number, email address, address, county of residence and date of birth (required to validate entry for contact purposes in case of winning) with the reference “2025 Charity Football Match Prize draw” to: BBC Children In Need, 2025 Charity Football Match Prize Draw, PO Box 12635, Colchester CO7 5AN.

 

 

We will not reimburse any expenses incurred in making an entry to this prize draw.

  • The prize draw opens at 9:00am on 8th December 2024 and close at 11:59pm on 15th December for online entries and 11:59pm on 22nd December for postal entries. All postal entries must arrive no later than 11.59PM on 22 December 2024. Entries or claims not received, incomplete, illegible or delayed will not be accepted.
  • If you are entering online and you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim an additional 25p in Gift Aid from the Government for every £1 you donate and it doesn’t cost you a penny! To help us claim this, tick the box to add Gift Aid.
  • No bulk, consumer group or third party entries will be accepted.
  • A winner can only win one prize, no matter how many entries are submitted.

Our winners will be notified via email from BBC Children in Need from Monday 23rd December 2024. Failure to respond by 13th January 2025 will result in the prize being forfeited.

By entering this prize draw you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. The Prize Draw

1.1 The title of the prize draw is Charity Match 2025 Prize Draw.

  1. How to Enter

2.1. Opening and Closing Dates: The prize draw will be open at 09:00 on 8th December 2024 and close at 23:59 on 15th December for online entries and 23:59 on 22nd December for postal entries.

  1. Entry Instructions

There are two methods of entry available:

  • Online via Tiltify – (link to Tiltify)
  • By post – to enter by post, please send your full name, phone number, email address, address, county of residence and date of birth (required to validate entry for contact purposes in case of winning) with the reference “2025 Charity Football Match Prize draw” to: BBC Children In Need, 2025 Charity Football Match Prize Draw, PO Box 12635, Colchester CO7 5AN.

3.1. We will not reimburse any expenses incurred in making an entry to this prize draw.

  1. The Prize

4.1. All elements of any Match packages (e.g. the Charity Football Match and pre and post- Charity Football Match experiences) must be taken on the same day and by the same people as the ticket is allocated to. Further details of timings and instructions will be provided to the winners in January 2025.

4.2. The prizes do not include any insurance, travel, travel insurance, accommodation, spending money, ongoing subscriptions, any food or drink other than that explicitly listed in the prize description, or personal expenses.

4.3. Any requirements listed in the description of the prize will form part of these Terms and Conditions. Further terms and conditions relating to the prize are set out below so please read them carefully.

4.4. Fulfilment of any elements of the prizes will be subject to any relevant government or legal restrictions regarding Covid-19 in force at the relevant time which may affect the same (including any deliveries/collections). Where the prize is time bound, BBC Children in Need and the relevant prize provider will not be liable for any period where the venue cannot be accessed due to such restrictions and will not be obliged to extend the relevant dates accordingly.

4.5. The prizes are as stated (subject to paragraph 11 below). There is no cash alternative and the elements of the prizes cannot be sold or transferred by the winner in any circumstances. For the avoidance of doubt, unless specified above, no other costs or expenses will be covered by BBC Children in Need or any of the prize providers.

4.6. BBC Children in Need reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so. Accordingly, the descriptions of the prize are provided without a warranty of any kind. In no event shall BBC Children in Need or any prize provider be liable for any claim demand or damages caused to an entrant by reason of a description of the prize being inaccurate, incomplete, or for the prize being otherwise in any way different to the entrant’s expectations.

4.7. The winner and their guests may need to adhere to health and safety requirements imposed by any venue or prize provider associated with any prize. BBC Children in Need and any prize provider will not be responsible for any failure by the ticket holders to gain entry or re-entry to the event due to their behaviour or their failure to meet the admission requirements of the venue. BBC Children in Need will not be responsible for the winners not following instructions and are not responsible for the content on third party websites or associated terms and conditions.

4.8. BBC Children in Need reserve the right to cancel the prize draw at any stage.

  1. Winners and Claiming the Prize

5.1. Following the final closing date, the winners of each prize will be drawn at random from all valid entries received by the relevant closing date by an independent randomised draw system. The winners will then be notified by BBC Children in Need by email from Monday 23rdDecember 2024.

5.2. BBC Children in Need will contact the winners to arrange for each prize to be collected/delivered to the winner.  Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners; however, if a winner does not respond to us by email by 13thJanuary 2025 to claim a prize, their prize will be awarded to the next winner drawn and so on until all prizes are claimed.

5.3. Prizes are allocated randomly and winners are not entitled to choose any particular prize. BBC Children in Need’s announcement as to who the winners are is final. No correspondence relating to the prize draw will be entered into.

5.4. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf and BBC Children in Need do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

5.5. The winner must provide their full name, postal address and email address to BBC Children in Need at the point at which they respond and claim their prize and further details to be sent to. The winner may also be asked to confirm any accessibility requirements for themselves or their guests at the point at which they respond and claim their prize and BBC Children in Need shall work with any relevant prize fulfilment partners to try to accommodate such requirements subject to availability and with the provision of valid proof of disability (where required by the relevant prize fulfilment partner).

5.6. The prize winners and their guests may be requested to participate in and give their consent to related publicity including their names and photographs being used for promotional purposes and/or reasonable requests to take part in our publicity.

5.7. We must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation we will announce the surname and county of the winner on our website co.uk 

5.8. If you object to any or all of your surname, and county being published or made available, please contact BBC Children in Need using any of the methods set out below with ‘URGENT 2025 CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH PRIZE DRAW’. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

5.9. Proof of sending an entry shall not constitute proof of receipt. No responsibility is accepted for entries that are lost, misdirected, late, damaged, incomplete or illegible, nor for any associated costs. Responsibility will not be accepted by the Promoter for prize draw entries that are lost, including as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, network, server or software failure of any kind.

5.10. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, except for death or personal injury, arising out of the administration of prize draws, or out of any of the winners’ or any third parties enjoyment of the prizes.

5.11. Prizes are awarded at our discretion and in accordance with these terms and conditions and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.

5.12. This prize draw is part of a fundraising partnership between BBC Children in Need, registered charity number 802052 (England and Wales) and SC039557 (Scotland) and Bright Side (a Charitable Incorporated Organisation) a registered charity no. 1204201 in England and Wales in connection with The Side Men Charity Football Match 2025. The first £300,000 of any fundraising by the partnership will go to Bright Side, with all remaining income being split equally between the two charities. All donations from the prize draw (less 5% deducted by Tiltify) will go towards this partnership.

 

6. Contact Details and Complaints

6.1. Promoter: the prize draw is operated by BBC Children in Need. Our registered office is at 4th Floor, Dock House, Media City UK, Salford M50 2LH. It is also being promoted by: Arcade Media Ltd, whose registered office at Amelia House, Crescent Road, Worthing BN11 1QR.

6.2. Helpdesk: To find out more about BBC Children in Need, to request a refund or if you have a complaint please email [email protected], go to the website, or call the BBC Children in Need Supporter Care Team on 0345 609 0015 (Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00). Standard geographic charges from landlines and mobiles will apply and calls may be included in your telecom provider’s call package.

6.3. We aim to deal with any complaints promptly, easily and fairly. A copy of our full complaints policy is here. If your complaint relates to the text donation service and you are not happy with our customer care or how we handle any enquiry or complaint, you may complain to the Phone-paid Services Authority (who regulate text donation services) and we will be happy to provide you with their contact details upon request.

6.4. You can request a refund by contacting our Helpdesk using the details above in 24. We may investigate claims to validate the basis of your request. If the request is valid, we will reimburse your donation.

7. Prize Provider(s):

7.1. The prizes are provided by:

  • BBC Children in Need and Bright Side – Behind the Scenes Wembley Tour
  • Nemedis Limited– Charity Football Match Tickets and Post-Match access to hospitality lounge.
  • Arcade Media Ltd– Sidemen FC Shirt; Sidemen Fan Pack; Subscription to Side

7.2. This prize draw is not endorsed, sponsored or administered by Facebook, Instagram or Twitter in any way.

7.3. The Promoter reserves the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

7.4. The law governing these terms and conditions and all other matters arising out of this prize draw (including but not limited to tortious matters) is that of England and Wales.

 

Privacy Notice:

 

Where you enter the prize draw, BBC Children in Need is the data controller and is responsible for how your personal data is processed. Upward Communications Limited provides the independent randomised draw and will process your personal data on behalf of BBC Children in Need as data processors. We also work with other approved third-party providers who help us to provide some of our services. These partners only use your personal data on behalf of BBC Children in Need and not independently of BBC Children in Need. Your personal data will be collected and used by BBC Children in Need to process your donation, fulfil any prizes if you win, provide receipts, process any refunds as necessary, manage failed donations as necessary, process Gift Aid claims, to help BBC Children in Need its income and for audit purposes.  Any information provided as part of the Gift Aid declaration (first name or initial, surname, address and postcode) will be used to claim Gift Aid, maintain BBC Children in Need’s records and your donation history, provide supporter care and for internal analysis. If you opt in, to receive BBC Children in Need newsletters and marketing, we will your data for these purposes in accordance with your choices.

BBC Children in Need will share your name, address and other relevant details with prize providers for them to arrange delivery or fulfilment of relevant prizes to you.

If you choose to Gift Aid your donation, in accordance with HMRC guidance, we will share your personal data with HMRC and retain it for up to 7 years. If you do not Gift Aid your donation your personal data will be retained for 2 years.

For the processing activities outlined above BBC Children in Need rely on different legal bases and these are:
