Monoprinting
This crafty activity is great for all ages – and we’re willing to bet that the children in your life have never tried it before! All of the supplies you need are likely to be available at a craft store near you.
What you will need
- A flat surface – perhaps a plastic chopping board, a tray or a tabletop protected by foil
- Acrylic paint in any colour you want
- Cotton buds (also called Q-tips)
- A mini paint roller
- White paper or craft card
How to do it
- Spread a thin, even layer of your chosen paint on the flat surface using the roller or paintbrush.
- Use a cotton bud to draw any design you like.
- Once you’re finished, carefully place the wite paper directly down on your design, taking care not to let it slip or slide.
- Gently pat or rub the paper down where it lies.
- Leave for a minute or so, then very carefully lift the paper off the surface.
- Your design will have printed beautifully onto the paper!
